KICOVERAᵀᴹ – THE ULTIMATE THIRST QUENCHER
Planto revealed its first ever plant-based, ready–to–drink beverage called KICOVERATM in August 2022, which has been crafted using two main natural ingredients: Sri Lankan King Coconut Water and Aloe Vera pieces in an attempt to provide the ultimate hydration and refreshment. The drink will be available for Export markets from September 2022.
KICOVERA™ is a one-of-a-kind drink, which has simple ingredients with no flavors, no colors, no additives and preservatives. Given the simple formulation and the effectiveness of the product, it is expected to be a disruptor of the plant-based water category.
The drink is set to hit the market with a catchy slogan that reads as Notoriously Refreshing to position itself as the go-to summer drink. The vibrant label which depicts a tropical beach, gives a feel-good-vibe to the beverage.
King Coconut, which is orange in color, is a native fruit to Sri Lanka and belongs to the family of Coconuts. The Orange nut is relatively small compared to coconuts, but much superior to its green cousin when it comes to the sweet-taste and hydrating properties. Therefore in Sri Lanka, it is indeed a king as far as hydrating is concerned.
Aloe Vera has been brought in the form of gel, to boost the hydrating properties and also to reinvigorate inside out. Although aloe vera is tasteless, pieces acquire the taste of liquid in a phenomenal manner creating a sensational experience.
KICOVERA™ comes in three exciting versions called Original, + Lemon and + Ginger. The Original, as the name implies is the base drink which is a combination of just four ingredients. The other two varieties have been formulated by just adding the respective juice into the same list of ingredients as that of Original.
Besides the fact that the drink has simple ingredients, it is also completely clean-label, Non-GMO, Gluten-Free and plant-based which makes KICOVERA™ a strong contender in the natural beverage category.
The drink comes in a 330ml ultra-light, sleek and hip glass bottle with ROPP Closure that promotes upcycling as well as recycling.
